Having SMART attend with me allows me to be a better patient care advocate…. When called on as a witness in court I need to be able to demonstrate I was able to give compassionate nursing care while remaining objective in collecting and recording forensic details. Being able to describe my SMART partner’s complementary actions to support our patient’s emotional wellbeing as being separate from my own patient care advocate actions helps me achieve this.
