Stop The Violence Counselling

What do we do

We offer individual and support group services to adult, self-identified women who have experienced gender-based   violence, such as sexual assault, childhood abuse and relationship violence (or domestic violence).

Individual Counselling

In 2020, over 1,230 individuals accessed our one-to-one Trauma counselling services.

All of our counsellors have Masters level degrees and are registered members of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and BC Crime Victim Assistance Program.

Group Support:

The support group is a safe place where individuals can come together for information sessions on topics related to trauma, such as anxiety, depression, self-care, healthy relationships… etc.

How We Help

We are here to support survivors in understanding and healing from the impacts of gender-based violence and trauma.
We work alongside survivors on their own goals, respect their right to make their own choices, and recognize the strengths and skills they have developed along their journeys.

Our services are open Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Support Group service is offered on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
