Join us on February 25th, 2025, for an inspiring and thought-provoking keynote led by Yamikani Msosa, Executive Director of Ottawa Coalition to End Violence Against Women, as we explore what it truly means to support Black survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) through nuanced, transformative approaches.
When lives are on the line we are the first line of defence against gender-based violence
When a survivor in Surrey experiences gender-based violence, their life’s on the line. When their life is on the line, Surrey Women’s Centre will likely be their first-line of contact. Surrey Women’s Centre is designated as an essential service and our work is critical in ensuring safety of survivors escaping violence.
Your support means we can respond quickly during a critical window of opportunity
In these life-and-death situations, time is of essence. The earlier we intervene the more likely we are to prevent serious injury or even death. The moment we receive a call, our team of frontline workers will assess the level of risk and develop a plan to ensure the safety of the survivor and their loved ones.
