Surrey Women’s Centre is pleased to present a series of 2 online workshops with Dr. Allan Wade.

The In Dignity two series workshop will cover:

  • Key ideas and methods of response-based practice
  • Dignity and Resistance
  • Role of social networks and Institutional responses
  • Connection between Violence and language
  • Interviewing methods with victims of violence across practice settings

Dr. Allan Wade

Dr. Allan Wade is a family therapist, researcher, and consultant with a primary interest in addressing violence, broadly defined. Allan and his colleagues are best known for developing “Response-Based Practice”, a framework for responding to cases of violence and other forms of adversity. Dr. Allan Wade teaches locally and internationally, conducts original research on resistance to violence and the connection between violence and language, and has published numerous articles and book chapters.
