In May, we launched R&R: Resilience & Resistance (a zine by survivors, for survivors) as our initiative for Victims and Survivors of Crime Week.

A platform for survivors to share their truth and creativity, this zine is also a resource that will provide comfort and connection at Windrose. And now, it will also be available for lending at Douglas College Library!

When the DC team reached out after reading about R&R, we were more than happy to donate a few copies to the Zine Collection, and having the opportunity to tour the archive with Library Technician Christine Fojas was a bonus.

Every time this compilation of art, poetry, and writing by survivors is borrowed, their voices will be heard, understanding will deepen, and awareness will grow. And if their words reach just one survivor who might be suffering in silence or isolation, then this zine’s purpose will be realized.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
